L'Accorderie is a system of exchange of services between individuals. This system allows members (AccordeurEs) to exchange all kinds of services, under the concepts of mutual assistance and cooperation. An Accorderie is associated with the concept of a social economy, proposing an alternative economic system based on the creation of a new form of wealth. Collective wealth and solidarity based primarily on the potential members of the community. A community, where too often, the poorest citizens are considered non-productive, because being unemployed, student, retired, etc.. or employed but poorly paid, are excluded from the spiral of overconsumption.
There are several Accorderies Quebec, grouped within the Network Accorderie. Their number has increased since 2007.
