The Société de transport de Montreal (STM) is the company that operates public transportation in Montreal, including the subway and bus service.
The STM is a member of the International Association of Public Transport (UITP) and, as such, signed the commitment to its Charter on Sustainable Development in 2005. Through this action, it expressed its intention to integrate sustainable development in its business methods and practices, to create awareness and provide training to employees, and to measure the progress in an ethical and transparent way.
